When your wig is not in use, it is best stored over the mouth of a large jar or vase to allow ventilation.
If worn every day, wash hairpieces every 2–3 weeks, and wash and condition bonded wigs once a week.
Wash under a tap with tepid to warm running water. Never use hot water.
Holding your wig over one fist, let warm tap water flow downwards from top to ends, front to back, wetting hair completely.
Apply shampoo with your free hand, in a downwards stroking movement, top to ends.
Squeeze hair gently so shampoo is absorbed.
Rinse under warm running warm water, using downwards stroking movements.
Gently apply conditioner from top to ends, as with shampoo. Comb conditioner through, using your wig comb.
To remove any tangles, lie the wig down and comb from the ends first. Our hair experts can recommend a detangling lotion for you.
Rinse off conditioner under warm running water.
Place wig between a folded towel and pat dry. Never rub.
Gently comb wig with wig comb, and apply your recommended hair reconstruct/moisture additive.
Let wig semi-dry naturally, and then style.
NB: Long hair is more difficult to work with, so extra care during washing and wearing is essential.
