Which wig is best for me?

Wigs need to be tailored to suit your individual needs. Each of our wigs has certain benefits such as:

• A wig must fit you perfectly - front to nape, ear point to ear point. If it doesn't, you will never wear it, because you won't trust it to stay on.
• Its foundation must be lightweight and well ventilated with a smooth finish to be comfortable and for the scalp to breath.
• Realistic highlighting of the hair or fibre for synthetic wigs is required to be in keeping with today's styling.

What to look for and what to avoid when looking for a wig?

We recommend that you don't buy a fashion wig or a low cost wig: The bases are heavy and the fibre cheap. It will not last, only a couple of weeks at best, and it will not be comfortable to wear for long periods of time, and visually it will present badly, rather than being natural and undetectable.

Here is some advice that will help you choose the perfect wig for you:

• Beware when buying online: What the wig looks like on a model under proper lighting, with hairstylists and makeup artists, will be completely different to what it looks like on you at home.
• Don't buy a wig - ever - without trying it to make sure the hair density and colour suit you, and the base size not only fits and looks the part, but is also comfortable for you to wear.
• Arm yourself with information - ask questions before you buy. For example: Do you cut/style the wigs? Are you qualified hairdresser? Do you custom size the bases? Is there any back up services?

If the answer is no to any of the above, you are likely to experience some problems after your purchase.

A low cost wig might seem attractive from a price point of view, but remember you always get what you pay for. And you want to look great.
